Chicken Egg Inkubator
Chicken Egg Inkubator: Which should you choose? What model is best? What should you look for? These are all questions that need to be answered when you purchase an inkubator.
Inkubators come in so many shapes and sizes that it can get confusing sometimes. We look at the different models and help you decide which is best for your situation.
There is small 3 egg incubators and large 400 egg incubators. If you only want to watch the hatching process, the 3 egg incubator would be enough. Many have automatic egg turning, so you would not have to turn the eggs 2-3 times a day. I know it does not seem like that big of chore, but what if you forget? Besides heat and humidity, egg turning is the main thing that can affect a hatch. Now turning 3 eggs over 3 times a day is not that big a deal [as long as you do not forget] however, turning 30 or 60 eggs over several times a day can end up being a big chore. You begin to think you are tied to your incubator after a while. That is why I always suggest to go with a good egg turning model like the Genesis. There is even models that will work on 12v in case your power goes out. This will prevent you from losing the whole hatch. Just hook it up to a car battery and you can keep things going until the power comes back on.
It would be hard to go wrong with a model like this. However, you can see all our reviews at the link below. We look at the small models as well as the large commercial models. So Click the link to find out more.
